Filming.

Filming
In this blog I am going to talk about the days I spent filming.

Day 1:

On the first day it was a Thursday. This was the day that I filmed the horse galloping across the beach. I had to film on a Thursday as this was the only day I could get my friend (who is a protection rider) to ride my horse across the beach. I checked the tides and saw the time that I had to be there was between 7-10am wile the tide was out. I knew that it would take me 2 hours to get to the beach so had to leave the horses yard at 5am in order to get the beach for 7 and have a good couple of hours. I also needed to make sure my dad could drive the horse box to the beach.
I used my Nikon camera and tripod to film this and had him ride the horse through the water and sand many different times so to make sure I had the right shot.
It was the perfect day for filming as the sun was low and the light was very effective.

Day 2:

On the second day I was at the beach again, this time with my actress Bebe. I firstly went to Brighton Beech here I filmed her singing in the sea which on the day was very wild on the day, the weather was a lot different from the first day filming but added into the video well. She was wearing a long black dress that has a Old fashioned royal feel about it so fits well with the character and video. As the beach has a huge blank I used this opportunity to take some pictures for my digi pack.

I also went back to camber sands with my actress on the second day, I had her change into a light dress that is a slight spin off wedding dress. As the beach was sandy it worked well with the colours. The weather was again grey and windy which set the sense very well and gave her something to work with.

This is a picture of my actress down at the beach after filming!

Day 3:

Day 3 I spent at knolepark. I filmed only a few things here, I used this location for the trees and feel that even though I didn't use many shots from here that they worked really well and effective.

Day 4:

Day 4 was the bulk day for filming, I did all my close together places in this day. I started filming at 8am and ended filming at 7pm, by the end of the day both my actress and myself where very tired although I don't think this shows at all in the overall product though. The lighting changed through out and I managed to plan what I wanted in the light and what I wanted when it was dark so to use artificial and candle light. I did the road in the morning so that the early morning light was around. I then moved to the house to film areas near the window that didn't what strong sunlight. I then moved to the field so that the sun was lower in the sky to give a more dramatic effect overall. Overall this was the hardest day filming as it was the longest and I had to move to many different locations.

Overall it took 4 days to film- this is not including the planning time. Each day I planned the times I would film and checked the weather for the best lighting and effect for the video. I also had to plan in advanced as I was using my horse, a rider and my actress.
