Music videos includes many different shot types such as long, medium, close ups and extra close ups. By doing this it emphasis the artist, location and the emotions that the artist is feeling. Close up shots are mainly used to for the star to get identity.
Mise-en-scene:
The mise-en-scene needs to be accurate as it needs to match the style/ genre of the music, and it is very good at showing the style of the music video. The most important things are props, makeup, location and costume.
Editing:
Editing is the key stage to any music video. Lip syncing is one of the most important things of editing a music video. This must be in perfect sync to look professional. The video is edited depending on the speed of the music and also the genre of music.
